My Original Idea For New Music Magazine

I think my magazine is going to be an alternative/rock magazine aimed at 14-19 year old males and females. Although there is already a great number of this type of magazine in the UK such as Kerrang or NME, I think this shows that it's the type of magazine that would be popular. However, to set it apart from the rest, I might include a fashion segment e.t.c because there's a huge lack of music magazines aimed towards females and if it can appeal to guys while attracting more girls too, it will stand out. At the moment I think the colour scheme is going to consist of black, white and electric blue. This will enable it to look different next to the other magazines which often feature red as a main colour. I need a bold, recognisable masthead is a sans serif font (I've noticed muscic magazines don't use much serif font, probably because they're trying to be 'in your face' and appeal to a male audience).
